Chamartin

Chamartin

Consider Chamartin if you want to live in a business district!

Chamartin is popular among workers who want to live in close proximity to their place of work, the neighborhood being a business district. If you choose to live near “Paseo de la Castellana”, which is the major axis of Madrid, which goes South to North and links Nuevos Ministerios to Plaza Castilla, Chamartin train station and its neighborhood, you will find tall buildings, offices, parking, malls and shops for corporate people which have restaurants filled during the day and empty at night. On the other hand, if you choose to go away from Castellana, you will find more residential buildings which are smaller and more families and couples live here.

It is a great neighborhood to live in if you work there and if you like quiet and practical neighborhoods over nightlife. Chamartin is also very practical if you travel a lot since the airport is only 10 minutes away by car and only 12 minutes by train. Also, the area is home to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and if you are a Real Madrid football fan it can be a plus. However, to live near it will usually require paying a little more for less than you’d get in other parts of the city.

You should choose to live in this area if you:

  • work in the area.
  • like to live in a quiet neighborhood.
  • want to be close to the airport if you travel a lot.
  • want to be away from the city centre.
